week 14: bringing jared to life

focus on building channels

Dear board, first of all - thanks for making the time.

This has been a week with a lot of long-term work being done, both on the front- and back end of the business.

Frederik is working on moving/restructuring our databases to increase speed and possibilities for developing the news feed.

Bringing life to Jared

I’ve been spending some launching a YouTube channel bringing Jared to life.

My experiment; is to post 1 video + 5 shorts every day for all of April, and see if it can drive any traffic to the website.

I’m currently working on two shows (that’ll improve from day to day):

Everything right now is about creating great content and using it to build sustainable channels that can drive traffic to the website, and ultimately users.

Beside YouTube, I also post the biggest news + link to our YouTube videos in our Reddit Community daily.

Either of these activities is gonna give us a ton of users overnight - obviously.

It’s a long-term play, that will hopefully prove valuable over time.

Our numbers this week

Due to the above, we haven’t seen any growth this week. We have a net loss of three users which is not surprising.

We’re grinding to improve the product, and build channels - but we are currently in a phase of long-term/behind-the-scenes plays, that will not drive immediate growth.
